Grant Lee Richardson
Taught Agronomy
Grant Lee Richardson, 92, passed away on June 15, 2011. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen, who passed away 5 ½ years ago. He is survived by six children, 40 grandchildren and 78 great-grandchildren. He attained a PhD degree and taught Agronomy at Purdue University and ASU for over 33 years. Serving in the Air Force as a flight instructor and commandant of students during WWII, he retired as a Lt. Colonel. As an agricultural advisor for USAID he worked in Libya, Iran, Lesotho, Somalia, and Russia, helping them improve their agricultural projects and better feed their people.
