Gloria Marie Mehrens

Gloria Marie Mehrens , 84, passed away on December 4, 2014. She received her B.A. in Education at Central Washington College of Education in 1952. She taught for the Northshore School District and later in the Seattle Public School District until she retired in 1983. She also served the Seattle Public Schools as a Helping Teacher, Reading Consultant and Supervising Teacher, where she mentored and guided cadet teachers for Western Washington University. She was married to George F. Mehrens, Jr. in 1958 until he passed away in 2012. He was a Teacher, Helping Teacher, Consultant and Administrator and later worked for Western Washington University as a Clinical Professor in their Clinical Program. Their son, Christopher, became a Musicologist, and is currently an Administrator and Head of the Music Library at ASU. Gloria is survived by her son Dr. Christopher Mehrens and other family members.
