Ginny Sylvester retired from ASU in April 2017 after 37years as a Librarian. Ginny supervised the public service (front desk etc.) desks In Hayden for many years, and by the time she retired was responsible for public services at all frontline service desks on all campuses as well as oversight over Academic Professional hiring and Continuing Appointment. Originally from New York City, Ginny moved to Tucson with her late journalist husband, Ed, in 1972. They arrived in Tempe in 1980 when he accepted a faculty position at ASU teaching journalism. Ginny has 2 grown children and 3 granddaughters. In addition to ASU Retirees, Ginny volunteers with the Tempe History Museum and Tempe Friends of the Library.
