Frederick Lunsford Reid, Jr. "Col. Potter,", 82, passed away on April 2, 2012. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Marshall University and a Masters of Business Administration from Syracuse University. He was known as "Colonel Potter" because of his dedicated military service. He retired after 24 years with the U.S. Army in 1974, and then worked for 14 years as Assistant Director of Housing at ASU. He is survived by his wife Jane Johnson, two sons, a daughter, two stepdaughters, a stepson, sister, nieces, a nephew, former spouse Barbara and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a son, Frederick Lundsford Reid III.
