Francis Paul Ruane, 87, passed away on July 13, 2015. He was a graduate of the University of Scranton, and also studied for an MBA at Syracuse University. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and served in the USAF during WWII where he earned his wings in 1953. He joined IBM in 1956 and worked there for 34 years. Later he worked in the Career Services Office at ASU for many years. He was a navigator at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport for nine years and a docent at the Champlain Air Museum and the Arizona Wing Commemorative Air Force in Mesa. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne, two daughters, a son, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, 2213 N. Lindsay Rd., Mesa, AZ with internment in Scranton, PA at a later date. Memorials to Frank can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Bridget's Church in Mesa. (Source: Arizona Republic)
