Ethel Portz

Ethel Portz, 89, passed away on March 8, 2013. After high school she took classes at the Chicago Art Institute and worked at a photography studio. She tested B-29 engines at a converted Dodge-Chrysler plant. In Arizona, Ethel taught craft classes and worked at an art supply store. She was an NMRA (National Model Railroad Association) "Railette". Her sister, her daughter Donna (ASURA member and Retirees Day Committee member), two sons, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a niece and a nephew survive her. Husband Paul A. Portz and two sisters predeceased her. Interment is at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Donations in her memory may be made to your favorite charity.
