Erva Verner

Erva J. Verner, 94, passed away on May 10, 2011. She graduated from the Univ. of Wisconsin in 1939 with a BA in philosophy and journalism and from ASU in 1960 with an MA in education and again in 1971 with an Education Specialist degree. She was preceded in death in 1984 by her beloved husband Jack. She is survived by three sons, a daughter, 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Erva taught elementary school in Scottsdale, Phoenix and at the Campus Laboratory School at ASU in Tempe. She was an assistant professor and lecturer at the ASU college of Education from 1966-1972. She served 10 years as Coordinator of Title I and Migrant Education in Nampa, Idaho schools, where she retired in 1982.
