Elizabeth Marie Griesman
Elizabeth Marie Griesman, 87, passed away on February 18, 2016. She and her husband, Ed, moved to Sun City, Arizona in 1989. She retired in 2002 as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Education at ASU West. She was President of Central Arizona Society of the Archaeological Institutes of America for six years and was a former member of the Valley West Chapter of International Administrative Associate Professionals. An Egyptology enthusiast, she wrote and published several articles in the AESA newsletters, Portland, Oregon, reviewing Egyptian books for children. An article she wrote on Egyptologist Mary Chubb was published in "Ancient Egypt Magazine" in London and her article on Sarah Belzoni was printed in an Australian newsletter. Liz conducted classes at Rio Salado College on ancient Egyptian women, the Pyramids and the Sphinx. She also taught various classes on Egypt in the ASU/Osher Lifelong Learning program in Sun City, Sun City Grand and the Sun City Lifelong Learning program. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and a brother.
