Elden Gareth (E.G.) Barmore,78, passed away on February 7, 2015. Elden started his banking career as mail clerk at First National Bank in Lincoln, Nebraska, and ended his career as President and C.E.O. of Rio Salado Bank in Tempe, Arizona. Elden graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School. He served on several banker association boards; Phoenix Art Museum (Board of Trustees and Board Member of Western Art Association); board member of Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation; board member of East Valley Partnership; YMCA; Tempe Chamber of Commerce; ASU new Venture Development Council & Centennial Commission; Tempe & Valley of the Sun United Way; Tempe St. Luke's Hospital Board of Trustees, Tempe Diablos, and Tempe Diplomats. He was preceded in death by two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Carol, a son, two grandsons, two brothers, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. February 28, 2015, at Grace Community Church, 1200 E. Southern Avenue, Tempe, 85282. Reception will follow.
