Edward Bernard Skibo

Edward Bernard Skibo, 63, passed away on June 24, 2014. He attended Drexel University, University of California in Berkeley, and University of California in San Francisco, where he received a PhD degree in Pharmacological Chemistry. In 1983, he achieved tenure at ASU, and was awarded with a Career Development Grant from NIH. He devoted much of his professional life researching for the development of cancer drugs and taught in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at ASU for 31 years. He is survived by his wife, YuJung, and two sons. A Catholic vigil will be from 5pm to 8pm, Monday, June 30th, at Queen of Heaven Mortuary, 1562 E. Baseline Road, Mesa, AZ 85204. The funeral mass will be held from 10am to 11am, Tuesday, July 1st, 2014at Queen of Peace Catholic Church on 141 N. MacDonald St. Mesa, AZ 85201. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edward's name to Queen of Peace Elementary Scholarship Fund.
