Edward Moody

Edward Grant Moody, 92, passed away on June 29, 2012. Grant served in the U.S Army from 1944 to 1946 in the occupation forces in Japan and was discharged as a Tech Sergeant. He earned his Bachelor's degree at the University of Arizona; his Master of Science at Kansas State College and his Ph.D. degree at Purdue University. From 1951 to 1984 he taught Animal Sciences at ASU. He was awarded the Teacher Fellow Outstanding Educator by the National Association of Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture NACTA. He served as a visiting professor at Oaxaca, Mexico. His wife, Elnora died in 1983 as Grant was getting ready to retire as a dairy science professor at ASU. He later married Elaine Harry. He is survived by his wife Elaine, seven children, four stepchildren, 41 grandchildren and 84 great grandchildren.
