Dorothy Jeanne Bryant, 91, passed away on March 12, 2014. Jeanne went to Arizona State Teacher's College (later ASU). She received national recognition in Archery and was named the Outstanding Women's P.E. Major. She taught and coached at Yuma High School, ASU, and McKemy Jr High in Tempe. At ASU she coached badminton and started the AZ High School Badminton Tournament. She was an avid golfer and was in the first foursome to play at Rolling Hills in Tempe. She had a hole-in-one at White Mountain Country Club. Jeanne is survived by a sister, a daughter, a son, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Tempe First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to T.I.E. Foundation through Tempe Elementary Schools. (Source: Arizona Republic)
