Donna L. Van Houten, 75, passed away on October 10, 2021. Donna and her husband, John H. Van Houten II, and two children, moved to Arizona in 1970. Once her kids were in school Donna decided to also go back to school first at Phoenix Community College then ASU to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She received her RN license in 1983. She worked as an RN at the Phoenix Veteran's Hospital and Phoenix St. Luke's for many years while working towards her Master's Degree at ASU. There she found her true calling as a Faculty Associate, Nursing Instructor for ASU (5 years) and then for Gateway Community College (20+ years). Donna retired from teaching nursing in 2013.



A Celebration of Life was held on October 30th in Phoenix. Donations can be made to her favorite charities: Halo Animal Rescue ,  Gateway Community College . (Source: ASU Foundation)
