Donald Harvey Morris

Donald Harvey Morris, 85, passed away August 30, 2014. Don served in the Army during the Korean Conflict as a Corporal in the Signal Core in Alaska, where he humbly "once broke a code." He graduated the University of Arizona with a Doctorate in Anthropology and began a long, respected career with ASU retiring in 1997 as a Professor of Anthropology and Archaeology. He spent extended time in the field working with his students and peers. The Donald H. Morris Award is presented by ASU to acknowledge a superlative graduate student in evolutionary anthropology and bioarchaeology. Don is survived by his wife, Evelyn, and a son.
