Don worked as an assistant to Jim Creasman in the ASU Alumni Association while he was still a student. One of his most memorable experiences during that period was his service in the 1958 campaign to win voter approval of the name change to Arizona State University. As Creasman's successor in the Alumni Association, and in recent years as the director of the $6 million campaign to restore and refurbish Old Main, he has been a potent force in the development of his alma mater.

Don retired in 2000 and has remained active in the ASURA.   He resides on the ASU campus, in the Mirabella Retirement Center.  He enjoys contacts there with other retirees and with many students who serve on the Mirabella staff.

Don was interviewed by ASURA's Video History Project team on July 12, 2002. Both the full interview and a short clip from the interview are available for on-line viewing.
