David "Dave" Bruce Conz

David “Dave” Bruce Conz, 39, died Friday, April 12, 2013. During his senior year in high school he earned his Eagle Scout Award, the highest award in Scouting, and he also won the Pennsylvania State Forensics Championship in radio announcing. David earned a B.S. in aerospace studies, as well as a pilot's license with a multi-engine rating in May 1995 from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, Fla. From ASU he earned an M.A. in interdisciplinary humanities in May 1999 and a PhD. in sociology in May 2006. David worked as a lecturer in the interdisciplinary studies degree program in the School of Letters and Sciences, and as an assistant research professor for The Consortium for Science, Policy, and Outcomes and The Center for Nanotechnology in Society at ASU since its inception in 2005. David is survived by his mother, an uncle, a sister, a nephew, a niece and one great-uncle. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at Zion Lutheran Church Apple Chapel, followed by funeral and memorial service at 11 with the Rev. Richard Fangmann officiating. Burial will be in Himmel's Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the David B.
