Dr. Darlene S. Ford, 72, died on April 9, 2013. Darlene earned BA, MA, MS, and PHD degrees  from the University of North Texas and Texas Woman's University. She taught at ASU and at UNT. She left college teaching to enter private practice as a mental health counselor, serving clients in Collin, Denton, Tarrant and Williamson Counties. Late in 2012 she moved to Prosper, Texas to her dream home from which she continued to counsel clients until her declining health forced her to retire in February of this year. She is survived by her husband Dr. Howard L. Ford, a son and other relatives. (Source: ASU Foundation, Obituary Registry)
