Clarabelle Theobald passed away August 9, 2010. She was a staff nurse at Ohio State University Hospital when she became interested in teaching other nurses. She moved to Arizona and earned her BSN in 1959, then her Master's in Nursing from UCLA and returned to Arizona. In 1982 she was one of the first to earn her Doctorate in Educational Psychology from ASU Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. Clarabelle was one of the founding faculty at the ASU College of Nursing and had a leadership role in their medical surgical department throughout her career there. She wrote a grant to integrate computers into the college and then provided computer support to her colleagues.
