Charles Sohn attended Iowa State University and graduated with a degree in English Literature. He then graduated from the University of Iowa with his master's degree.

Charles taught at Iowa State University, Arizona State University and Glendale Community College.

Charles was active in several Phoenix theater groups, as a respected actor, director, and mentor, along with his dear partner in crime, on the stage, and in life, Jacqueline Gaston. Their love of the craft and the valley theater groups they joined was an indelible part of their lives for many years. Friends, colleagues, students, and fellow actors will forever remember Charles for his caring support and selfless contribution to their lives.

Charles was preceded in death by Jacqueline Gaston, his father Howard Sohn Sr., mother Helen Agnes Marie (Meisner) Sohn, a brother and a sister.

He is survived by two nephews and a niece  and her son. J
