Caryl Joy Steere, 92, died on March 10, 2012. Mrs. Steere graduated from Albion College in 1941. In 1952 she moved to Arizona where she continued her teaching career dedicated to nurturing the minds and spirit of young children. She taught in the Phoenix public school system and continued her career in the Child Development Lab School at ASU. She retired from ASU in 1983. In the late 1970's she taught for a short time at the Brisbane Kindergarten Teachers College in Brisbane, Australia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joseph Steere, a brother and a son. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, a niece and a nephew.
