Dr. Calvin J Daane pursued his interest and study of music at both University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and at Columbia University, New York. He received his doctorate degree at Indiana University in counseling psychology in 1955.

Calvin was on the faculty at Northern Iowa University in Cedar Falls, Iowa until he joined the faculty at Arizona State University in 1963 until his retirement.

Calvin is survived by his three children; his six  grandchildren and by his six great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his wife, Jeanette, a grandson, and his three brothers.

A remembrance gathering of the family will be held at a future date.
