Bruce Papier

Bruce Papier, 76, died on August 15, 2016. Bruce served in the Air Force and was a drummer in Air Force Command Bands during his enlistment. Bruce earned a master of fine arts at The Ohio State University and began his academic career teaching at the University of Denver. He later taught at Purdue University and at ASU before taking a position at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, N.M. There he founded an innovative computer graphic design program (Design Studies) in the early 1990s. After retirement he was honored with professor emeritus status. Papier is survived by his beloved dog Shorty, four cousins, a niece and many friends.
