Bruce Charles Hooper graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1970 with a degree in Statistics. Following his graduation from UW he took employment there in various departments from 1970 to his final post of Director of Risk Management/Insurance and Environmental Health and Safety.

Retiring from there in 2007, he  became the Executive Director of Risk and Emergency Management at Arizona State University until leaving in 2015.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Bruce is survived by his wife Tammy, a daughter, Tammy's children; three sisters; a brother and many nieces, nephews, cousins and their children.
