“(Bob) Beeman, who had served as executive coordinator in the College of Public Programs, office of Vice President for Business Affairs, and President’s Office, was uniquely fitted for the ASURA presidency. He had a broad knowledge of the institution and the opportunity to know a great number of both faculty and staff.”

During Beeman’s presidency ASURA obtained parking decals for the ASURA staff and volunteers. He also held the first annual Volunteers Appreciation Luncheon (held at the University Club).
