Bevie Truett Sanders, 98, passed away on June 25, 2015. A veteran of World War II, he earned his doctorate at University of Texas at Austin and was a professor of accounting for 28 years at ASU. He also taught at Sul Ross State University and University of Texas at El Paso. In 2005, he and his wife received the City of Tempe's Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Award for their work with international students. He is survived by his wife, Virginia, a sister, two sons and three grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 30 at Tempe Mortuary. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1 at Church on Mill. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Church on Mill international student ministry, 1300 S.
