Beverly Buddee was born in San Diego, California, but spent most of her childhood in the eastern part of the United States as her dad was an Air Force pilot. Upon his retirement from the military, the family moved back to California, settling in Sacramento. Bev attended BIOLA University where she met her husband and joined the “put hubby through” club.
Bev and Rudy moved to Arizona in 1969 where she worked in clerical positions for several companies, including a division of a Fortune 500 company that staffed hospitals in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Following a hiatus from the workforce with the birth of their daughter, Bev received her B.S. in Accountancy from the School of Global Management at ASU’s West campus and began her ASU career as a student worker in Department of Human Resources at ASU West. Following graduation, Bev joined the staff of the Office of the Vice President and Provost as Administrative Assistant to the Provost, eventually moving to the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost at the Tempe campus where she was the administrative assistant to the Vice President for Academic Personnel. Bev retired from ASU after 18 wonderful years of service.
Bev and her husband Rudy have two adult grandsons and one young grandson with whom they thoroughly enjoy spending time. Bev is active in the children’s ministry at their church and is also a quilter.
