Beth Lessard came to ASU in 1969, one of three female faculty in the department at that time.  She served as Chair of the Department of Health, Physical Education and Dance (Liberal Arts) from 1977 to 1994. During that time Dance became a separate department and moved to the College of Fine Arts. This interview was conducted by Pam Stevenson on January 30, 2006.
