Beth Beaudry Jessen, 93, passed away on February 6th, 2013. Following graduation from the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis, MN, she married A.H. Beaudry and became an "ArmyWife" when the USA entered WWII. She worked as a secretary for the FCC in Washington D.C. while her husband was stationed at Ft.Belvoir, Virginia prior to deporting overseas for duty in Europe. After the war they lived at numerous posts until Colonel Beaudry retired in 1963 at Ft Bliss. The family then moved to Tempe where her husband served as Construction and Operations Supt. for the City of Tempe until ill health forced his retirement. He died in 1978. With the move to Tempe, Beth returned to the work force first as Admin Assistant to the Tempe Public Works Director and then as Administrative Secretary to Coach Frank Kush and assistant coaches at ASU for several years. She was married in 1986 to Rev. Bill Gotthardt until his death in 1990. In 1991 she married Edward O'C Jessen and instantly became "Momma and Grandma" to a very large family. She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her three children, nine stepchildren, 26 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life will be held at Arizona Community Church, 9325 South Rural Road, Tempe, AZ at 1pm on Tuesday, February 12th 2013. Internment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in New Mexico.
