Barbara Lou Reed earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Wilmington College. In 1972, Barbara pursued her PhD in accounting. She spent many years nurturing minds as a professor at the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird).

She is survived by her brother, three daughters and leaves behind a legacy of ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
