Arthur William Rangeler, 90, passed away on August 30, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Ellen, to whom he was married for 63 years, and a niece. He served as a Platoon Sergeant in New Guinea and the Philippines during World War II. He received a Philippines Liberation medal for 4 major battles, a Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. After completing his Master Degree from A.S.U. (1964), he taught in the Physical Educ. Dept. He became the Football Equipment Manager for the "Sun Devils." He retired after 5 years with Motorola in Scottsdale. His great joys in life were playing racquetball with Frank Kush and other coaches a A.S.U. He was an excellent golfer and won the Prescott Labor Day Golf Tournament twice. He recently was chosen and went to Washington D.C. thru the Honor Flight Program for World War II Veterans. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Tempe Lodge #2251, BPO Elks, 2320 E.
