Arthur Matula

Arthur Matula, former ASU journalism professor, passed away April 1, 2015 (estimated). His internment will be on May 4, 2015, at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego. He served with the US Marine Corps during World War II in the South Pacific, China and Japan and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Industrial Editors Association, Sigma Delta Chi national men's journalism honorary and the Public Relations Society of Phoenix. He was a graduate of Texas A&M, Stanford University and Occidental College. He retired from Mesa College where he taught comparative religion. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Ross Matula, a former staff member of the Phoenix Gazette, and two sisters.
