Fall 2008 

Alan taught in the ASU English Department from 1967 to his retirement in 1996.  He served on the ASURA Board of Directors in 2001-2004 and co-chaired the Legislative Liasion Council in 2001-2004.  As ASURA's representative to the Arizona State Retirement System he attends meetings of the ASRS Board of Trustees and keeps track of its legislative aims, financial condition, and service to ASRS members.  Alan likes to travel to far-away places with his wife Borgny and especially to visit their three daughters and four grandchildren.
