Connie joined ASU in Computing Services in 1976 after working at Stanford University (her alma mater) for 10 years. Her husband Barry joined the Mechanical Engineering faculty at ASU at the same time. After working for almost 15 years in technology leadership positions on the Tempe campus, Connie moved to the West campus as the founding head of the Information Technology group there, in 1990. She retired from ASU in May 2006. Connie and her husband enjoy an active family life and are baseball fans, bird watchers and hikers.
